The Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources has changed a few fishing regulation effective January 1, 2014. Woman River Camp is located in Zone 4. We will see the following fishing regulations change:
- The size-based regulation for lake trout has been extended to the entire open season.
- The dates for walleye sanctuaries have been harmonized to April 1 to June 14.
Follow the link to view the Ontario Recreational Fishing Regulation Summary 2014. We suggest looking at it before your trip. Like all governments, ours has had to make some cuts and one cut we see is less printing of paper copies of the fishing regulations summary.
Be sure to check with your outfitter for fishing regulation changes in their zone.

The new Lake Trout fishing regulation changes applies the September fishing regulation “not more than one greater than 56cm (22 inches)” to the entire season Jan.1-September 30.
These changes to Ontario’s 2014 fishing regulation summary will help ensure Ontario’s World Class Fisheries remain healthy.

I will be coming with Steve Wise and Harvey Khamer on Sept. 6th. I purchased my 8 day fishing license online, which I thought we had to do for your camp. Was I wrong in that I had understood I would have to do this? Or can we purchase them there when we arrive?

Hi Wayne,
We look forward to having you stay with us! We no longer sell licenses in camp and recommend purchasing online or at a business selling licenses on your way to camp. Like Four Seasons Tackle in Ear Falls. see you soon
